Flywheel: Ignition of the Soul is a 2026 faith-based inspirational drama from Sony Pictures’ AFFIRM Films, directed by Alessandro Barros. A Brazilian remake of the Kendrick Brothers’ iconic debut feature Flywheel (2003), which launched their two-decade run in faith filmmaking, this flywheel: ignition of the soul 2026 full movie was shot in Rio de Janeiro in 2025 and released theatrically on 16 October 2026, with an earlier release across Brazil and Latin America in September.
The film stars Mario Bregieira as Noah Silva, alongside Pérola Faria, Guilherme Tavares, Felipe Folgosi, Adriano Canindé and Elizeu Rodrigues, with Alex Kendrick himself also appearing in the cast. The project grew out of the Kendricks’ partnership with AFFIRM Films and Brazilian producer Ygor Siqueira, following the success of their 2024 film The Forge in Brazil, and was developed with emerging Brazilian filmmakers recruited from a filmmaking bootcamp in Rio.
Like the original, the story follows a used-car salesman whose dishonest, cutthroat business practices begin to catch up with him — until a crisis of conscience sparks a radical turn toward integrity and faith. Relocated to the streets of Rio de Janeiro, this culturally authentic retelling explores redemption, honesty and the power of a changed heart, told through the lens of Brazilian family life and faith. Like the original, this flywheel: ignition of the soul 2026 full movie is a reminder that real change begins from within.
