Ranabaali (2026) Full Movie

Ranabaali is a 2026 Indian Telugu-language period action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, known for Taxiwaala and Shyam Singha Roy. Starring Vijay Deverakonda in the title role alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Hollywood veteran Arnold Vosloo, the film was produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers and released in theatres worldwide on 16 October 2026 as one of the major Dussehra releases.

Set against the rugged landscape of 19th-century South India, the film follows Ranabaali, a fierce warrior and village protector whose personal struggle grows into a larger battle for his people against an oppressive colonial system. Grounded in regional Rayalaseema folklore and the history of the colonial-era Madras Famine, the story opens with the folk legend of Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali before shifting into a harrowing portrait of manufactured famine, crushing taxation and forced labor. Rashmika Mandanna plays Jayamma, Ranabaali’s spirited wife, while Arnold Vosloo portrays the ruthless British commissioner Sir Theodore Hector.

Ranabaali aims to blend large-scale action with emotion, romance and historical drama, powered by music from Ajay-Atul and cinematography by Nirav Shah. With Deverakonda’s rugged period transformation and the sweeping scope of a colonial-era epic, the film brings a lesser-known chapter of resistance into mainstream Telugu cinema and stands as one of the notable historical dramas of the year.
